Shadows as questionmarks
As far as grammar can be thought of in photography, shadows are the question mark. In these works the object does not tell the entire story. He is a member of of a tribe that uses negative space to move and orient. You can only learn to know him from the contrast he makes to his more illuminated surroundings. This is the metaphor for the shadow walkers, the nightcrawlers and the inverted social engagement.

Silhouettes
Where the shadows keep the secrets and the questions unanswered from the light, the silhouette defines the essence of our beings in its most simplistic yet total way.
The drama to be found in the separate dimensions that the silhouette and the background play between inspires the stories I tell with images.
